Purpose
and Vision For the House of His Presence
Revelation
4:8-9 Each
of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around,
even under his wings.
Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God
Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come."
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and
thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever,
Revelation
5:5-10 Then
one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of
Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its
seven seals." 6
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of
the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven
horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the
earth. 7 He came and
took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne. 8 And
when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell
down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls
full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song: "You are worthy
to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your
blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and
nation. 10 You have made
them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the
earth."
Purpose:
Our
desire is to create a place for the habitation of the Lord. The primary purpose
for this place is to minister to the Lord in worship and to seek His will in
order to pray in accordance with what is on God’s heart.
The primary element for this will be Worship and Intercession (Harp and
Bowl). Integral to Worship and
Intercession are not only music and prayer, but also, visual arts, dance, drama,
and other forms of creative expression to our Creator.
Vision:
The vision is to provide a central location first.
God has chosen Shepherd’s Heart as that place. But not only to build a
24/7 House of Worship and Prayer within the Shepherd’s Heart building, but to
also mobilize and train prayer leaders and musicians in the ministry of Worship
and Intercession throughout the City of Pittsburgh. Our hope is that through the
relationships and the networking that God builds, that we can establish 2 or 3
hour “Watch of the Lord” locations throughout the city. This would
eventually cover every hour of everyday throughout the city. Basically, we would
be establishing a Ring of Fire of worship and intercession throughout the city
24/7.
Why?:
All
over the world the Lord is restoring night and day worship and prayer as a part
of His desire to restore His church and to release justice in the earth. Prayer
and worship is part of establishing His Kingdom on earth in order to fulfill the
“Great Commission.”
Training:
Our
desire is to begin a once a month Friday night “Watch of the Lord” where we
can instruct on and experience together the ministry of Harp and Bowl worship
and intercession.
The
criteria for those who will participate on the teams will be:
1. To
have the blessing of their pastor.
2 Be a tithing member of a local Christian church.
Extended Vision:
We are also planning on establishing healing rooms within the building of Shepherd's Heart so that people can come into the building to experience God's Presence in worship and intercession as well as receive personal ministry.
